Universal Design for Learning
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is one of the best guides to help plan and prepare our lessons. It helps our teaching be as inclusive and effective as possible from the ground up.
In this tool, after you type in the objectives of the lesson you are planning to teach (you can be as simple or detailed as you’d like), the year level your lesson is for, and any specific needs or accessibility requirements that are present in your class (for example: autism, dyslexia, vision impairments, etc), you will be presented with a guide with recommendations across the three key UDL domains.
If you want to learn more about UDL, I’ve recorded a video here that talks through its theory and practice.
